 My Notes

 I have always loved this song, but this morning it made a new meaning to me. You see, when we are "perfect" before the Lord Jesus and "gets" everything "right" making no mistakes, we tend not to know the weight of what He did for us on the Cross. We know He bore all the pains and shame for us, for our sins, and gave Himself because He loved us, but we still do not fully get it.

It is amazing to realise that He still thinks tenderly about you after making silly and wrong choices. It is comforting to know that He still thinks highly of you and calls you precious after messing up. If you truly realise you have missed it and do not try to justify yourself but humbly come to him and confess everything and repent, He will forgive you and help you get things back in order, even better than they were before. You might have to go through some not-so-good experiences because of your wrong choices, but He will be there with you to carry you through it all. Why? Because He loves you more than you can ever dream. He loves you more than your mind can grasp.

Think about this:

Because of you,
He endured that humiliating and terrible scourging on His back.
He had you on His mind and saw that very undesirable moment you are in now.

Because of you,
He bore the piercing of the sharp thorns on His head.
He had you on His mind and saw those foolish steps that led you to where you are now.

Because of you,
He, despite indescribable pains, carried His cross and fell under it, getting crushed.
He had you on His mind and saw that very sinful life you are living now.

Because of you,
Wicked nails were drawn though His hands and feet.
He endured the mockery and the abuse.
And by His stripes you have been healed.

Come to Him today,
Don't delay anymore.
For even if your sin is as scarlet,
He will make you as white as snow.
Run quickly to the mercy seat,
He took your condemnation upon Himself in His suffering.
You only have to accept this fact and let Him help you.
